Nuclear Medicine Europe, an industrial association for nuclear medicine and molecular healthcare, on 24 September hosted its first-ever Nuclear Medicine Europe Day (#NMEUday), a pan-European awareness campaign.
The campaign highlighted the modality's role in healthcare and the challenges facing the field, and featured contributions from all five of Nuclear Medicine Europe’s working groups. The association conducted it primarily via LinkedIn.
Association leaders said the event aimed to inform the public about the nuclear medicine's life-saving effectiveness and to offer education regarding key issues such as infrastructure, workforce shortages, and supply stability. They also called for backing from legislators and policymakers to drive supportive regulation and investment.
