Dutch researchers have demonstrated the feasibility of using a flat-panel x-ray detector combined with a gamma camera to allow simultaneous acquisition of fluoroscopic and nuclear images. The instrument could provide clinicians with anatomical information not currently available using nuclear imaging alone.
