Clinicians input patient information and clinical indications, which xRefer then assigns a numerical score based on European Society of Radiology guidelines to rank the suitability of the available tests. The software also indicates radiation levels associated with each test. The software is secure with full encryption and data security, xWave said.
In other xWave news, the firm has raised 600,000 euros in preseed funding from private investors and will be looking for further investment later this year, according to an Irish Times article. The firm plans to employ 22 people by 2023 with the first group set to start this year.
