England promotes radiographers' clinical placements

Health Education England (HEE) is providing 15 million pounds (16.8 million euros) in funding to increase radiographer and other health professional placements in the National Health Service (NHS), the U.K. Society of Radiographers (SoR) announced on 27 August.

The funding is a 50% increase over what was previously promised, Health Education England said. It has been awarded to hospital trusts, primary care providers, and healthcare training hubs in England, and it will support 3,800 health professionals, according to SoR.

The total also includes 1 million pounds (1.1 million euros) for the development of sustainable technologies.
