Mammography and orthopedic imaging firm Planmed has secured a contract with Ortoplus Group, one of the largest orthodontic and digital labs in Europe, for its Planmeca Emerald intraoral scanner.
The agreement allows use of Emerald with Ortoplus Group's OrthoApnea mandibular advancement devices and Alineadent clear aligners. After scanning the upper and lower arches as well as the bite of the patient, Emerald users can now export the images to Ortoplus for the design and manufacture of orthodontic appliances, the company said.
