ContextVision debuts new 3D/4D ultrasound software

Image enhancement software developer ContextVision is unveiling its REALiCE 3D/4D ultrasound visualization software at this week's World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Barcelona, Spain.

REALiCE combines the firm's GOPiCE real-time 3D ultrasound volume enhancement software with new data rendering technology, according to the vendor. The result is a new method of visualizing 3D/4D ultrasound images that yields improved image quality in 3D/4D-rendered images and in multiplanar reformatted (MPR) images for clearer visualization of the fetus, ContextVision said.

The visualization package provides for translucency adjustments, light-source positioning, and skin softness and shading changes, the firm said. It also offers multiple views, including what ContextVision calls a photographic view and a versatile surface rendering view.
