Agfa HealthCare will collaborate with the Dubai Health Authority to validate a chest x-ray artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm designed to enhance image analysis, automate reports, and improve clinical efficiency.
Agfa currently is developing the algorithm with VRVis, a research center for visual computing in Austria. Dubai Health Authority will validate the work-in-progress with the goal of making the algorithm the first augmented intelligence validation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The partnership began two years ago during which time AI technology was reviewed across the radiology departments with the organization's 19 medical fitness centers.
