Zebra releases deep-learning engine in Europe

Big-data visualization software developer Zebra Medical Vision has received the CE Mark for its deep-learning analytics engine, and it is now available in Europe.

The Zebra-Med engine can currently analyze CT data for signs of fatty liver, excess coronary calcium, emphysema, low bone density, and vertebral compression fractures, according to the vendor. It can be integrated into PACS, RIS, reporting, and electronic medical record software.

In addition, the engine has received regulatory clearance in Australia and New Zealand, according to Zebra. More than a dozen new algorithms are expected to be added to the platform in the coming months, the company stated.
