GE Healthcare and diagnostic imaging, outpatient, and cancer care services provider Affidea signed a 90 million euro multiyear agreement that will deploy imaging and digital technologies across the Affidea network.

GE will install more than 200 new systems in Affidea's network of centers across Europe. The agreement includes 60 new MRI systems, 50 ultrasound devices, 40 CT scanners, and 30 x-ray machines in the next three years. The agreement also includes a six-year service contract. The deal also involves PACS -- Affidea will deploy PACS-driven postprocessing hubs using GE's Edison intelligence platform.

In addition, Affidea expanded its collaboration with GE in pharmaceutical diagnostics in all its geographies to include Clariscan, GE's new contrast media agent.

Affidea and GE seek to make Affidea's fleet data-driven, connected, and networked efficiently to enable clinicians' collaboration, enhance subspecialization, and support business leaders, the firms said.
