Israel awards Zebra 3 grants for AI algorithms

Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Zebra Medical Vision has received grants from the Israeli Innovation Authority to integrate AI algorithms into the radiology workflow at three major medical institutions in Israel.

Zebra has agreed to provide its AI algorithms to the following institutions:

  • Ichilov Hospital: Home to Israel's largest emergency room, Ichilov Hospital will use Zebra's AI algorithms to prioritize radiologists' worklists and increase the speed at which they are able to detect life-threatening issues.
  • Maccabi Healthcare Services: Zebra's deep-learning breast cancer algorithm will serve as a second reader to minimize the risk of misdiagnosis.
  • Clalit Health Services: Zebra's AI technology will allow clinicians at Israel's largest health maintenance organization (HMO) to detect early signs of osteoporosis and heart disease on medical images.
