3D printing services start-up adds to funds

U.K. medical 3D printing services company 3D LifePrints has received 500,000 pounds (568,000 euros) in a series A funding round led by Fenwall Investments.

3D LifePrints handles the manufacturing of 3D-printed models and related services for a number of hospitals and academic institutions affiliated with the U.K.'s National Health Service (NHS). The company has collaborated with healthcare providers and clinicians to advance 3D printing technology, reduce costs, and enhance patient care.

The investment will bolster the research and development, recruitment of biomedical engineers, and local and global expansion at 3D LifePrints, the firm said.
