COCIR revises code of conduct

The European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical, and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR) has updated its present Code of Conduct regarding the relationships of its members with healthcare professionals.

First launched in 2009, the code details how COCIR members should interact with healthcare professionals. This most recent update to the code stipulates that members no longer pay for healthcare professionals' registration fees, travel costs, or lodging costs for third-party conferences. The amended code will be effective as of 1 January 2019.

COCIR will continue to fund educational activities prepared by healthcare organizations including hospitals, medical societies, and sponsorships to professional conference organizers.
