Kromek detectors installed in SPECT/CT systems

Radiation detection technology firm Kromek announced that its digital detectors will be used in Spectrum Dynamics Medical's new digital SPECT/CT scanners.

Kromek's detectors -- combined with Spectrum's 360°, wide-bore SPECT/CT scanner (Veriton-CT64) and its advanced image reconstruction algorithms -- can increase the energy range up to 400 keV to support the throughput demand of current and new emerging nuclear medicine clinical applications, the company said.
