The Australian breast cancer screening program, New South Wales (NSW) BreastScreen, is getting set to reopen, according to a report posted on 28 September by 7News.com.

The program suspended its service in August due to the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting outcry from lawmakers.

"I'm pleased to advise today that we are now working towards resuming services across the state on a case-by-case, site-by-site location," said director Sarah McGill in the 7News report.

COVID-19 safety measures have been put into place at both clinics and mobile screening units, the report noted.
