PACS vendor Medavis has rolled out portal4med Patient Portal, which allows patients to access radiology images and reports on a secure, digital server.
The portal is integrated with Medavis' RIS and access data can be printed as a ticket at the registration desk, transferred directly to the report, or sent to the patient via email. Patients and physicians can access the portal on any device with an internet connection, but the data is encrypted and secure, Medavis said.
The firm subjected its web-based systems and infrastructure to extensive penetration tests to verify their security.
