The family of a deceased Indian radiologist said the COVID-19 vaccine was not to blame for his death, according to a news report in the Times of India.

Dr. Tulsio Gawalani, a 61-year-old radiologist from Ulhasnagar, died 11 days after receiving the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination. Reports on social media led to speculation that the vaccine could be to blame, Times of India reported.

However, Gawalani's family said the radiologist died from a heart attack and that he did not have side effects or discomfort after vaccination. Gawalani's nephew, who is also a radiologist, received his vaccination the same day and said he was "certain" Gawalani's death was natural.
