iCAD wins CE Mark for mammography AI platform

Computer-aided detection (CAD) and radiation therapy firm iCAD has received the CE Mark for its ProFound artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm for mammography.

ProFound AI for 2D mammography uses deep-learning algorithms to analyze mammograms, prioritize cases, and ultimately assist radiologists in making clinical decisions, iCAD said. The technology is the latest addition to iCAD's series of AI algorithms for breast cancer, which includes its ProFound AI for digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT).
