Scottish man arrested after x-ray shows knife in pocket

A man from Aberdeen, Scotland, was arrested on Saturday after an x-ray exam at a hospital revealed a knife in his trouser pocket, according to an article published online on 5 March in the Press and Journal.

The 22-year-old, who had an unspecified injury, began behaving aggressively after his arrival at Fraserburgh Hospital, according to the article. Police were then called as the accused man was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The patient was subsequently transferred in an ambulance to the accident and emergency department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for an x-ray, which appeared to show that he had a knife in his trouser pocket. Police seized the lock knife, and the patient later admitted to a charge of possessing a lock knife in a public place without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, the article noted.
