New Zealand to use Volpara's breast imaging software

Breast imaging software developer Volpara Solutions will provide its VolparaEnterprise software for breast cancer screening in New Zealand.

BreastScreen Central, a provider for the National Screening Unit's BreastScreen Aotearoa program, has chosen the software to assist in the screening of women living in the Wellington, Hutt Valley, Wairarapa, and Kapiti Coast areas of New Zealand.

BreastScreen Central, a part of Hutt Valley District Health Board, is the first public sector screening organization in the world to purchase VolparaEnterprise software as a key component of its quality assurance protocols, monitoring breast compression, positioning, and other factors, according to the vendor.

As part of the Ministry of Health, the National Screening Unit provides health screening programs across New Zealand.
