MARS Bioimaging spreads the word on spectral CT

MARS Bioimaging has highlighted research using the vendor's spectral CT device at the 2018 HealthTech Week, held in Auckland, New Zealand.

Mahdieh Moghiseh, PhD, of the University of Otago, Dunedin, presented research she conducted for breast cancer imaging using MARS spectral CT, while Harish Mandalika, PhD, addressed the company's 2D/3D hybrid visualization system.

MARS Bioimaging's small-bore spectral CT scanner features an in vivo sample bed with temperature and vital sign inputs, an LED illuminated gantry; an air-cooled x-ray source, adjustable filters, and x, y tracking collimators; and variable detector magnification and rapid helical scan, according to the firm.
