Mammography and orthopedic imaging firm Planmed isn't quite lacing the skates, but the company did provide its Planmed Verity conebeam (CB) CT scanner for the 2018 Ice Hockey World Championship in Denmark.
The device was available in the onsite emergency rooms both at Royal Arena in Copenhagen and Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning to diagnose fractures in extremities and the maxillofacial area, as well as dental injuries throughout the tournament.
Planmed also supplied the Verity scanner at the 2012 World Championship in Finland and Sweden.
