Curium to market xenon-133 gas in the U.S.

Global nuclear medicine firm Curium has expanded its U.S. offerings to include xenon-133 gas, sourced from its Petten manufacturing facility in the Netherlands and using low-enriched uranium targets.

Xenon-133 gas is useful for diagnostic inhalation studies to evaluate pulmonary function and for lung imaging, and it may also be used to assess cerebral blood flow, the company said.
