Lunit collaborates with Swedish hospital on mammography AI study

June 5, 2023 -- AI software developer Lunit has signed a three-year agreement to supply Capio Saint Göran Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden, with its Insight MMG software to serve as an independent reader of screening mammography exams.

Instead of the traditional approach of double reading by radiologists, the large private hospital in Sweden will use the AI software as a second reader along with a radiologist as first reader. Capio Saint Göran Hospital anticipates that with the integration of this software, its radiology department will be able to interpret 78,000 screening mammography exams each year, according to Lunit.
