The ESR said Esperanto was used in the radiology department at the University of Debrecen, Kenézy Hospital for quality assurance purposes. The department also produced a Hungarian translation of the audit tool for other Hungarian radiology departments to use.

First published in 2016, Esperanto aims to increase awareness and understanding of clinical auditing. It also aims to encourage and support clinical audit practices and encourage compliance with radiation protection and basic safety standards in radiology departments throughout Europe.
