November 14, 2019 -- The European Society for Hybrid, Molecular and Translational Imaging (ESHIMT) reported a 16% increase in attendance for last month's Conference on Hybrid Imaging Live (CHILI), following the inaugural event in 2018.

A total of 4,064 people registered for CHILI 2.0, compared with 3,515 registrants for last year's meeting. A total of 2,805 people joined live over the course of the conference, which was broadcast on 25-26 October from a studio in Vienna, while 1,022 people watched recordings in the 72 hours after the conference.

"The advantages of CHILI's highly accessible online format are obvious and palatable to people from all around the world," noted Prof. Thomas Beyer, PhD, MBA, president of ESHIMT, on the society's website. "We were able to offer this event free of charge to more and more people all over the world, giving everyone with a passion for hybrid imaging the opportunity to participate and learn."
