A 25-year-old woman was admitted to the emergency department with acute abdominal pain in the periumbilical region that lasted for 12 hours. The patient had discomfort and a wet navel for four days. The patient had severe pain on abdominal palpation in the periumbilical region, increased acute phase reactants, and leukocytosis.
