Four patients ages 72 to 93 with acute gastrointestinal bleeding

Four patients (three female, one male; mean age 79 years old; age range 72-93 years old) with recurring melena/rectorrhagia and anemia were admitted. Nearly all of the patients presented with several risk factors such as cardiopathy, hypertension, diabetes, and liver and renal failure.
