SmartXR Assistant combines hardware such as integrated sensors and cameras with software powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to give x-ray staff predictive workflow assistance to help them boost their productivity and reduce retakes. The platform comes with tools for radiation dose reduction, alignment of detectors with x-ray tubes, improved patient positioning, and more, according to the company.

SmartXR Assistant is available on Agfa's DR 600 automated digital radiography (DR) room. It is being shown as a work-in-progress at RSNA 2020 on the DR 100s mobile DR system.
