IBA wins Belgian cyclotron installation

April 25, 2018 -- Proton therapy developer Ion Beam Applications (IBA) has installed one of its cyclotrons at a proton therapy center in Belgium.

The University Hospitals Leuven has installed IBA's Proteus One system at its Gasthuisberg campus, establishing the first proton therapy center in Belgium, according to IBA. The center, to be called the Particle Therapy Interuniversity Center Leuven, is scheduled to begin treating patients in 2019.
