Moreau served as head of the radiology department of the Boucicaut-Vaugirard Hospital group, then that of the Corentin Celton hospital. He helped organize the 1989 International Congress of Radiology (ICR) in Paris, and developed and promoted a school of uroradiology at Paris V.
Moreau was considered a passionate pioneer and visionary in the field of ultrasound in medicine and contrast agents. His many responsibilities and international actions played an important role in the influence of French genitourinary and ultrasound imaging, according to the SFR tribute posted on 27 June.
Additionally, he was one of the founders and the president of the European Society of Uroradiology (ESUR); he was also involved in several international societies, including the American Society of Uroradiology (SUR), the European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Bio (EFSUMB), the World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB), and the International Society of Radiology (ISR).
