Philips signs 10-year deal with Klinikum Stuttgart

October 21, 2019 -- Philips Healthcare has signed a 10-year agreement with Klinikum Stuttgart hospital in Germany that includes the replacement and purchase of new medical technology, including diagnostic imaging systems and informatics software.

Klinikum Stuttgart has launched a restructuring program that includes investment in new buildings and modern equipment, as well as the construction of the new Katharinenhospital in Stuttgart. The first phase of the project is expected to be finished by the end of 2020 and will see specialties such as radiology, interventional neuroradiology, intensive care, and endovascular surgery housed in new buildings.

Klinikum Stuttgart also plans to implement networked care and improve other processes. The partnership with Philips will focus on quality improvement through digitization, providing innovative connected care technologies, and clinical research collaboration.
