Euro health bodies announce 5-year strategy

December 9, 2020 -- The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA) have released their five-year strategy, which includes prioritizing digital technologies and more.

Their strategy between now and 2025 includes the following priority areas:

  • Availability and accessibility of medications
  • Data analytics, digital tools, and digital transformation
  • Innovation
  • Antimicrobial resistance and other emerging health threats
  • Supply chain challenges
  • Sustainability of the network and operational excellence

It was released after the EMA and HMA adopted the strategy.
