Shimadzu launches new angiography application

By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

November 6, 2015 -- Shimadzu has released a new angiography application designed to reduce treatment times and the amount of contrast media used.

Trinias MiX is an extension of the Trinias angiography system, the company said. It links Trinias to previously acquired CT images during interventional procedures, and features a trace mapping function that extracts and displays the outline of vessel walls. It also includes Shimadzu's percutaneous coronary intervention application, which displays stents in a fixed position in real-time, and the company's Score Pro Advance image-processing engine, which reduces the conventional x-ray dose by half, according to the firm.
