KA Imaging highlights ECR study on lung lesions

By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

July 11, 2022 -- KA Imaging is highlighting a study analyzing the diagnostic value of single-exposure dual-energy substation radiography in lung lesion detection. The initial results of the study indicate a 45% increase in lesion visibility in cases when supplemental dual-energy images were included.

A radiologist blinded to standard-of-care CT results was first asked to identify anomalies in the conventional x-ray. The same task was given again with supplemented single-exposure dual-energy images. Findings were confirmed using CT.

The study will be presented as an e-poster at this year's ECR. KA Imaging is also part of the technical exhibition at Expo X4 at booth 406.
