Noona is a cloud-based mobile app that patients can use on their smartphones to report symptoms and other relevant clinical information to their care team from any location. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Varian has added a questionnaire to screen patients for symptoms of the respiratory disease.
Varian also noted that the company has developed a new approach to quickly and remotely implement Noona at customer sites. The approach allows its experts to set up new cancer organizations and virtually train care teams through video conferencing tools and prebuilt education materials. This enables the company to get new customers up and running in just a few weeks' time without sending Varian engineers to customer sites.
