The Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM) has participated in EscapeDx, an initiative held recently in Madrid to promote understanding of radiology and pathology.

EscapeDx is a medical imaging competition in which radiologists and pathologists must solve real clinical cases prepared by a consulting team of specialists. The competition is adapted to an “escape room” game format.

The event was held this year for the first time in Spain, with the final taking place at the headquarters of the Madrid College of Physicians on 2 December. Participants included SERAM's head of training, Dr. Eduardo Alvarez-Hornia, with clinical cases for the semi-final and final provided by Dr. José Antonio Parra, a radiologist at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital in Santander and Dr. José María Maiques of the Hospital del Mar – Parc de Salut Mar in Barcelona.
