Proctor prepares to take top clinical radiology post at RCR

Dr. Robin Proctor of University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust in the U.K. has been elected as the Royal College of Radiologists' (RCR) incoming medical director of professional practice for clinical radiology.

Proctor will take over from the current director, Dr. Raman Uberoi, on 1 September 2024. He will lead clinical radiology faculty activities that guide and support RCR fellows and members.

Proctor is a consultant radiologist at Morecambe Bay and has served in a variety of roles there, including deputy medical director during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He has been a fellow of the RCR since 2008. He is currently a member of the RCR Equivalence Committee and is the RCR representative for the national New Hospital Program. Previously, Proctor was on the RCR faculty board for clinical radiology and was secretary of the British Society of Skeletal Radiologists.
