Canon adds DelftHold to European holdings

Canon has taken another step in its five-year plan to expand in Europe by completing its acquisition of DelftHold.

DelftHold manufactures digital x-ray systems, system integration, and service for radiology departments. DelftHold's subsidiaries include PACS vendor Rogan-Delft and radiology equipment provider Oldelft Benelux. The company has offices in the Netherlands and Belgium.

DelftHold has been part of the Canon Group since its acquisition by Canon Europa in 2012.

The addition of DelftHold follows Canon's December 2016 acquisition of Toshiba Medical Systems for $6 billion. Toshiba officially changed its company name to Canon Medical Systems this month.
