The Rio 2016 Olympics polyclinic performed 1,540 diagnostic imaging studies from July 22 until August 24, down from the 1,711 administered at the London 2012 Olympics.
More MRIs and x-rays were performed at Rio 2016, but there were fewer ultrasound exams compared with the previous Olympics in London, according to figures provided by GE Healthcare. In addition, no CT scans were performed at Rio 2016.

The polyclinic will reopen on September 7 for the beginning of the Paralympics.
