Radiographers in England accept U.K. pay offer

Radiographers in England have overwhelmingly accepted an offer from the U.K. National Health Service to increase their pay by 3%, bringing to an end a labor dispute that had dragged on for months.

In a vote by members of the Society of Radiographers (SOR) in England, more than 86% voted in favor of accepting the deal. Members of the SOR and 11 other unions had staged a series of strikes and work-to-rule actions after the U.K. government initially proposed a 1% increase.

The deal follows settlements already made in Scotland and Wales.
