Agfa awarded 7-year U.K. contract extension

July 30, 2012 -- Agfa HealthCare has signed a seven-year contract extension with Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital National Health Service (NHS) Trust in the U.K.

The agreement extends until December 2018 and includes an upgrade of the facilities' PACS across the trust, from Agfa HealthCare's Impax 5.3 to Impax 6.5.

The trust will also install two Agfa DX-D 100 mobile direct radiography units on a six-month trial and replace eight computed radiography units, including three systems at community hospitals.
