Fuji donates CR unit to wildlife hospital

July 11, 2012 -- Fujifilm Medical Systems has provided a computed radiography (CR) unit to a U.K. wildlife hospital, the company said.

The firm presented Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire with one of its FCR Prima digital x-ray systems. Tiggywinkles plans to use the device to diagnose casualties more efficiently, according to Fuji.

FCR Prima features a compact CR reader, an electronic viewing workstation, and an archiving system for healthcare facilities to transition to a soft-copy imaging environment, the company said.
