Agfa finalizes Belgian DR order
By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

March 5, 2013 -- Agfa HealthCare has signed an agreement with Belgian university hospital UZ Brussels to implement its DX-D 800 direct radiography (DR) system in the hospital's emergency department.

The DX-D 800 is designed for real-time images for fluoroscopy, general radiography, and direct exposures, using a single, detachable, tethered detector.

The device's 180-cm source image distance enhances thorax imaging, while a remote-controlled table is designed for patient comfort, and there is a video camera for remote patient positioning without radiation exposure.
