The CR system produces diagnostic-quality images at a speed of 60 or more imaging plates per hour. Seven different cassette sizes at standard resolution and four cassette sizes in high resolution are supported.
Additional options to the basic system include modality worklist functionality, DICOM CD/DVD output, and Carestream's ImageSuite mini-PACS software. Long-length imaging functionality and a dental panoramic model may also be purchased.
For customers who wish to perform quality certification testing themselves instead of using a third-party testing service, Carestream offers its Directview total quality tool, which includes a phantom test kit and analysis software.
With the availability of the VITA XE CR system, both the Directview Vita SE and the Point-of-Care 360 CR imaging systems are being retired, according to Carestream.
