Canon installs new DR system in Switzerland
By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

October 26, 2011 -- The Universitäts-Kinderspital beider Basel in Switzerland has selected Canon Europe to provide a comprehensive portable digital radiography (DR) system to meet its pediatric medicine requirements.

A number of Canon CXDI-70C devices include portable wireless detectors that can be attached to a mobile unit and moved around easily, which eliminates the need for a fixed detector in every room, the company said.

The system at the hospital ensures that machines are automatically recognized upon entering different treatment rooms and can be quickly and easily transferred when and where they are most needed without wasting time rebooting, Canon said.
