IMS gets Canadian clearance for Giotto

Italian x-ray and mammography systems developer Internazionale Medico Scientifica (IMS) has received clearance to market its Giotto Image MR-CA mammography unit in Canada.

Health Canada granted the system a Class 3 Medical Devices Licence. There are currently over 1,500 Giotto systems installed worldwide, primarily in Europe, according to the company.
