Siemens to oversee expansion at Dutch hospital

Siemens Healthineers has signed an agreement with a Dutch hospital to build and manage a complex of six new operating rooms.

Siemens will build the new complex at the Admiraal De Ruyter Ziekenhuis (ADRZ) hospital in Goes, working with partner companies Engie and Jan Snel. It will also equip the rooms with medical systems, and service and update these systems for 10 years.

Once the rooms are built, Siemens will lease both the new building and the medical systems to ADRZ. The project should be completed by February 2017, and is valued at more than 10 million euros, according to the vendor.
