NDSC signs decision support deal with ESR

Clinical decision-support software firm National Decision Support Company (NDSC) has signed an agreement with the European Society of Radiology (ESR) to provide imaging appropriate use criteria to the European market via an offering called ESR iGuide.

At this year's ECR, the ESR announced an initiative to develop clinical decision support guidelines for the European market and signed a deal with the American College of Radiology (ACR) to make use of their experience in developing appropriate use criteria. As part of that new relationship, experts from the ESR will now adapt NDSC's ACR Select Web version of the ACR Appropriateness Criteria into imaging referral guidelines tailored to the European market, according to NDSC.

Furthermore, the ESR will leverage NDSC's content delivery capabilities to localize the criteria based on regional and institutional requirements, according to the NDSC. NDSC said it will serve as the licensing agent for ESR iGuide across all European countries and will be responsible for managing content delivery. ESR iGuide is planned for launch at ECR 2015 in Vienna.
