March 14, 2013 -- Fujifilm Medical Systems has been awarded a contract from North Bristol NHS Trust to provide a RIS, PACS, and a vendor-neutral archive (VNA). It will be providing a managed service with its partners Healthcare Software Systems and Acuo Technologies.

The RIS and PACS are replacements for existing systems, and are expected to be operational on 30 June 2013.

North Bristol NHS Trust provides acute care to residents of Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset at hospitals at Frenchay and Southmead. These will be replaced by a new hospital being built at the Southmead site in the spring of 2014.
