Cerner names new vice president for U.K. By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers
December 24, 2012 -- Healthcare information systems firm Cerner has named Emil Peters as vice president and general manager for the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland.
His responsibilities include the company's activities in the National Health Service's National Programme for IT and other aspects of healthcare IT.
Peters had spent the past seven months as vice president of hospitals and health systems markets of the TriZetto Group in Denver, Colorado. Previously, he had worked for Cerner since 1998. He had helped to establish Cerner's European business in Brussels, before working on pathology and radiology in the U.K., and then establishing Cerner Iberia.
Peters' appointment relieves Matthew Swindells, senior vice president of population health and global strategy, of his acting role of interim general manager until a permanent general manager could be appointed.
